Apple sued for $20 million

The firm could be forced to cease OS X sales.
Apple is facing a $20 million lawsuit from a company claiming that its OS X 10.4 operating system infringes upon its intellectual property, according to Apple Insider.
IP Innovation LLC and its parent company Technology Licensing Corporation have claimed Apple has undertook a ‘wilful and deliberate’ infringement of a computer control patent by selling the operating system, nicknamed Tigger.
If successful the case could lead to damages in excess of $20 million and an injunction preventing Apple from selling OS X ever again.
The alleged violation is a particularly specific one which refers to a lone claim within a single US Patent Office filing called ‘User Interface with Multiple Workspaces for Sharing Display System Objects.’
