Smaller system integrators are benefiting from those unwilling to adopt Vista
A report from Computerworld has suggested that retailers pushing Vista are underperforming compared to those pushing XP.
Smaller system integrators are said to be benefiting from the reluctance of people to buy branded PCs that come with versions of Microsoft Vista installed.
One system integrator quoted in the piece claimed that he had advised customers that it wasn't worth switching to Vista for another year. Another retailer announced that only two out of the approximate 400 PC's sold this year, in store, were loaded with Vista.

“Quite right”

Vista is over rated by Microsoft, truth is it is slooooooow and fat. Having installed Vista and XP on two identical machines and run a load of tests I conclude XP is on average approx 30% faster under most applications. Needless to say I sell many more PCs with XP than Vista, and have uninstalled Vista and put XP on many clients machines.

We have had customers who purchase laptops & PC's with vista preloaded paying for XP to be put on their new systems. this means they are paying for two os.
