Innovative Mattel buys microprocessor licence
Mattel has signalled its intent to compete in the technology market, purchasing a Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio licence from TPL Group, the licensing partner of Patriot Scientific.
The licence entitles the manufacturer access to many design applications and techniques for technology-based products.
It joins a number of international blue chip firms including Hewlett Packard, Kenwood, Nokia, Phillips, Sony and Toshiba, which have also licensed the technology.
