DSGi updates Children's Charter

Retailer reacts to recommendation of Home Office task force on internet security
DSGi has updated its Children's Charter in response to recommendations from the Home Office on internet safety and the dangers of social networking sites.
The retailer has said that it will immediately extend its offer of "free child security services for all PCs it sells to parents to include a tutorial on how to stop access or limit their children’s time on social networking websites."
A spokesperson for PC World said: "The way our children interact with the internet is constantly evolving and the popularity social networking sites continues to grow.
What some parents may be unaware of is that many social networking sites carry age guidelines that their children may be surpassing.
"With the PC World Children’s Charter we’re aiming to provide parents with direct advice and solutions to ensure their child is protected and not interacting with sites beyond their years," he added.
