Vendor set to unveil new range following feedback from 'teen council'

HP has announced that it is to launch a line of computers specifically aimed at teenagers, following feedback from a specially convened teen council.

The line was announced a the recent Teens and Tech conference, with HP's director of future and innovations group Ameer Karim saying that the firm had gathered extensive research from the teen council, as well as design ideas from those that participated.

Teens were invited to help design PCs from the ground up with features such as 'soda shop locators'.

"We've used this teen council to help us with everything from design of the products, the user interface and the box design, even including how the website will look," Karim said on a panel of executives about marketing to teens at the event.
