ITACS chairman set to speak on Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live about Antivirus 08 & 09
Matthew Woolley is set to appear on several radio stations over the next couple of days to highlight the increasing problem of the computer virus, Antivirus 2008 and 2009.
Woolley, who is currently chairman of independent trade association ITACS and owns award winning Forum Computers, told PC Retail: "It's important to bring the problem of this malware to the knowledge of the general public."
Much of the problem has been put down to the relatively professional design of the 'hook'.
One indie retailer PC Retail recently spoke to commented: "The design is very professional and some of our customers are saying they had no idea that is was malware."
Woolley will be on Radio 5 Live tomorrow morning at around 7am and Radio 4's consumer programme You and Your's from midday Monday.

“to remiove antivirus 2008 use combofix or similar”
Posted by: tony - Sep 6, 12:09am
i have encountered antivirus 2008.someone has asked me to remove it from their pc twice now.
im not sure what sites they have been on to get it
its a nasty thing
1.it changes the desktop
2.it removes the desktop tab in the display properties
3.it puts other malware on the pc making you think you have to buy their product
4.it removes other tools that a technician would use to try and remove it
remody:
use combofix
if you search through google you will find it
im not selling combofix
its just that it has worked for me on more than 1 ocasion
