Dell sues TigerDirect

Vendor alleges etailer of 'trademark infringement, misleading representation, unfair competition and false advertising'
Dell has sued TigerDirect for "repeated and blatant violations" of its resale contract, after it accused the etailer of 'trademark infringement, misleading representation, unfair competition and false advertising'.
According to the Register, the lawsuit was filed in the New York District Court, and accused the etailer – which is owned by Misco-parent Systemax – of breaking its former licensing agreement by, amongst other things, selling old Dell PCs as new.
It also accused the etailer of abusing its logo and trademark.
Dell said in the claim that it wants the court to force an injunction on the etailer, preventing it from using its brand or any of its trademark, as well as the destruction of any Dell equipment it possesses for sale and three times profit made through previous transactions involving Dell equipment.
